Right now, the highest number of individuals and children are experiencing food insecurity in the past ten years. One in eight individuals and 1 in 7 children in Colorado are food insecure.
This past week, I had the opportunity to collaborate on a project with Food Bank of the Rockies—an organization that covers 150,000 square miles across Colorado and Wyoming, serving our communities and tackling food insecurity on the front lines.
My team and I were asked to create a solution to drive workplace giving through education, awareness, and engagement. During this project, I had the privilege to meet with Charlene Moser, the corporate partnerships manager at Food Bank of the Rockies.
I was inspired by Charlene Moser, her team, and the Food Bank of the Rockies volunteers; their deep commitment to serving Colorado's culturally diverse populations with excellence and thoughtfulness in every interaction is nothing short of amazing.
Visiting the facility gave me a firsthand look at their incredible sustainability story. More importantly, feeling the true heartbeat of Food Bank of the Rockies is something that impacted me deeply on a personal level.
For our final project, we developed a series of sector-specific mobile impact programs. Ideally, our solution can help Food Bank of the Rockies increase their impact. I am excited to see how our ideas are put into action.
I want to recognize my great teammates; Erika Ruin, Keilana Sandford, Alex Brown and Sudais Ball. I truly enjoyed collaborating with you all. I want to thank Jason Hansen for his invaluable guidance on this project.
Lastly, a big thank you to Charlene Moser for her trust in my classmates and my team. It was especially meaningful to collaborate with an incredible organization on an impact-driven project.
